I love it when people are served their own medicine. It’s so sad that Mayfield’s career was ruined because he was one of the best drivers in his prime. I got to meet him when I was a kid & got an autograph, he was very nice and it’s sad to see the NASCAR talent thinned out like that.

As a Gordon fan I thought this was funny at the time

@deathrattle420 lmao lookin at it it kinda does look like he did haha man sure do wish racing today was like this

  • deathrattle420 says:

@seyloisqueer4life That “pointing” was done with his middle finger. I remember watching this race and one of the commentators saying “he told him he was number 1.”

I didnt realize Mayfield was in Nascar for that long. What a loser to throw it all away for dope. I wonder how he will explain how they found the meth, guns and ALL of that stolen shit at his house? i guess its was Nascar setting him up again right?

  • timcons says:

Best race finish I ever saw

  • NigarT says:

    @ntibbs100 I stand corrected.

  • ntibbs100 says:

@NigarT you still think nascar set up the meth head

  • NigarT says:

That freaking meth-head. . . (Huge Sr. fan, and I still think NASCAR set-up Mayfield on the drug charges)

  • seyloisqueer4life says:

you gotta love dale pointin at him at the end of the race….tell ya the truth id say dale was probably proud of him

  • pamelaroses says:

Gone to race ….. In a better place

  • 18carNASCAR says:

Mayfield had potential in NASCAR and then he fucked up cause of drugs

  • NBAforlife8 says:

@DaleEarnhardtRIP definitely said shift..watch the driver switch gears afterwards.

  • GeneralTyler4 says:

You gotta be good to keep up with Sr :P

Big E got a taste of his own medicine right there. Great call by Eli Gold. Ironically, Buddy Baker, Eli Gold, and Glenn Jarrett can all still be heard on SIRIUS NASCAR Radio. Gold does occasional lap-by-lap announcing, Jarrett on pit row, and Baker co-hosting Tradin’ Paint.

@The1994Gforce It was not started by dale himself it was started in the 60′s and 70′s so technically dale took it off them and yes I was a fan of earnhardt too but I still loved that race seeing him get it for once

  • flubber342 says:

@DaleEarnhardtRIP lol, I think that is what Ned Jarret is laughin about after he said it.

  • flubber342 says:

@The1994Gforce as a huge Earnhardt Sr. fan, I love to see this finish, I love how Mayfield bumps Earnhardt and passes him to win, made for an exciting finish, and Sr. is a big reason Mayfield got into the cup sieries in the first place, Sr. was actually very proud of Mayfield, you have got to realize that someone who never gets beat, and has had so much success, was actually fun to watch get beat, Mayfield proved he was’nt intimidated by Sr., and that is what Sr. like about Mayfield.

  • proudhoosier26 says:

@DaleEarnhardtRIP Yes he did. I remember that plain as day when I was watching this race. That was actually one of the first things I was looking for when I clicked on this video. Lifelong Earnhardt fan here too. RIP DE

  • proudhoosier26 says:

@The1994Gforce Actually, Mayfield was a promising young up and coming driver in 2000. He had yet to become a has-been.

  • The1994Gforce says:

I saw how Dale flipped Mayfield off, and he had every right to do so. How dare Mayfield! He used the patented Earnhardt move, on the man who patented it! And to top it all off, it was used against Earnhardt by a NASCAR has-been. The NERVE!

  • DaleEarnhardtRIP says:

    nvm it sounded like shit

  • DaleEarnhardtRIP says:

0:51 Did he just say “Listen to this shit” ROFL

  • sneezabonk says:

It is such a shame that both of these guys careers are over they were both real drivers and if still in the sport today would probably have nascar being entertaining
